I am a 25 year old Australian female triathlete racing ITU draft legal races residing in Sydney. I have been involved in sports such as running, swimming, water polo and horse riding for many years. My aim in triathlon is to become the best Olympic distance triathlete that I can be with the ultimate goal of representing Australia at major sporting events including World Championships and the Olympic Games. I will be competing in Europe during our winter in order to become a better triathlete and to improve my racing ability against some of the best triathletes.
I generally train 2-3 times per day at various locations around Sydney. I also regularly use the Southern Highlands (2 hours from Sydney) as another training base depending on my phase of training. The hills and trails there offer me great strength and endurance training when I want a break from Sydney.
I have a degree from The University of Sydney in Human Movement and Health Education. My education has better enabled me to fully understand the physical requirements of training and racing and the benefits of rest and recovery. This enables me to get the most out of myself in everyday.
